Class Of 1981
Class of '81 Still "Learning to Drive"
Several members of the Class of '81 helped celebrate the Association's 50th Anniversary with a parade entry entitled "Learning to Drive in Springfield: Past, Present, and Future." Classmates used traffic cones to keep the crowd safe from our "student driver, " Kris Vatne, whose banners proclamed, "The Class of '81 Learned to Drive in Springfield...." The tow truck followed behind hauled the wreckage of what was once a car (before Stan Partridge and Dave Herold got their hands on it...) and warned, "But watch out for our kids!" We had a blast putting it together and renewing old friendships, and we missed YOU!
Our next official reunion is 2006, when the parade theme will be "Wet and Wonderful." Get your slippery, bubbly, floaty, wavy, wet, wonderful and wild ideas together, then join us for a 2005 get-together to start planning early. If you will be in town for Alumni Weekend 2005: "A Day at the Zoo, " and you are interested in working on our 25th Reunion (!?!), please contact Nanci (Higgins) Paul (snpaul@vermontel.net or 802-885-8218) or your favorite local classmate to help get the ball rolling.
Don't forget to let us know about any contact information changes you've had so we can keep you informed. You may also check the website, shsalumni.com, for updates on reunion plans. Hope to hear from you soon!
