Springfield High School Alumni Association will be hosting their 18th Annual Golf Tournament at Crown Point Country Club on Friday, June 18, 2021.
This is a scramble event, with a shotgun starting at 1pm. This event was postponed in June 2020 due to the Covid 19, but we developed a plan that made it possible to play in August. Now we are in hopes to use the same plan this year. We can get out there and play golf safe, while staying within any Governor Scott’s guidelines for our safety at that time.
Bill Flore, the chairman of the tournament, said this has been successful for raising money for scholarships, that are awarded to Springfield High Graduates. This money comes from local businesses that sponsor a golf hole at this event. Last year we had 18 teams and lots of classmates and friends that had a chance to win $25,000 cash, for hole in one on the 18th hole, but no one hit the shot, but perhaps this year, someone will win that grand prize.
This event includes, a bag lunch supplied by Jake's South Street Market and hors d’oeuvres after golf, at the Pub.
We will be looking forward to seeing you there.
Applications are on our website at www.shsalumni.com and in the pro-shop.
Please contact Bill Flore for any questions on the golf tournament and if you would like to make a donation or sponsor a golf hole or golf cart, for this years event please contact him at bill.flore73@gmail.com or 802-952-8922.
